Shelby Cortese
My name is Shelby Cortese, and I am the owner and consultant behind Advanced Fleet Solutions. I have worked in the trucking and construction industries for nearly 12 years in several different capacities. A large portion of my career was spent in a truck shop environment, which gave me a unique perspective on the operational and maintenance side of the industry. It allowed me to recognize customer needs before many companies even realized those needs existed themselves. At the time, my ability to help was limited to the role I was in.
Over the last several years, I transitioned into fleet operations and management, where I gained firsthand experience with the challenges many companies face in DOT compliance, administration, and fleet maintenance management. That experience showed me how many businesses struggle to balance the day-to-day demands of operating equipment while also keeping up with the constantly changing regulations and administrative responsibilities that come with the industry.
That realization is what led me to start Advanced Fleet Solutions. My goal was to build a company that helps businesses handle the parts of the operation they may not fully understand, may not have time for, or simply do not want to manage themselves. If we can take care of the compliance, administrative, and fleet support side of the business, our customers can focus on what they do best — operating and growing their business.
